Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Medienethik, Note: 2,0, Universität Erfurt (Seminar für Medien und Kommunikation), Veranstaltung: "Journalismus und journalistische Ethik im interkulturellen Vergleich", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Rund anderthalb Jahre sind nach der öffentlichen Debatte um die Karikaturen des islamischen Propheten Mohammed vergangen. Die erstmals bereits am 30. September 2005 in der dänischen Tageszeitung "Jyllands-Posten" veröffentlichten zwölf Bilder gingen um die Welt und lösten bei Muslimen rund um den Globus zum Teil heftige Stürme der Entrüstung aus, die sogar in Gewalt gegen Mensch und Material gipfelten. Während vornehmlich im arabischen Raum gewaltsame Proteste, besonders medienwirksame öffentliche Flaggenverbrennungen oder ähnliches als adäquate Mittel der Wut und des Entsetzen über die Karikaturen galten, blieben derartige Szenen in weiten Teilen Westeuropas aus. Das galt auch für Deutschland. Doch wie fielen die Reaktionen bei den in Deutschland lebenden Muslimen, immerhin rund 3,2 Millionen, aus? Darf man annehmen, dass insbesondere die Nachfolgegeneration der ehemals türkischen Gastarbeiter die vermeintlichen Skandal-Bilder aus einem anderen Blickwinkel sieht? Immerhin sind viele Muslime bereits in Deutschland geboren und auch aufgewachsen, in der Gesellschaft integriert und womöglich liberaler in Auslebung ihres Glaubens. Eine Welle der Entrüstung sollte dann doch nach den vorangestellten Vermutungen ausbleiben, so glaubt man. Aber ist dies wirklich so? Diese Arbeit soll Aufschluss über die Reaktionen islamischer Dachverbände in Deutschland bringen, sie vergleichen und journalistischen Kodizes gegenüberstellen. Die Ausgangsfrage soll also sein: Besteht eine Deckungsgleichheit der Stellungnahmen islamischer Verbände in Deutschland mit journalistischen Ethikvorstellungen? Zunächst einmal sollen dazu zu Beginn des Hauptteils aber die zwei größten Verbände, der Zentralrat der Muslime und der Islamr
