About the Book

In one day, Victoria (Tory) Beckett has gone from the ecstasy of having it all to devastating loss. She returns to New York City in a last desperate attempt to reclaim her dream of becoming a ballerina and encounters one bizarre turn after another. She meets a successful dancer who becomes her best friend and, at times, her worst enemy.Frank St. Germaine has achieved success on the Broadway stage. He has throngs of adoring fans, but love still eludes him. However, when the company talks about going on an extended tour, Frank faces a nebulous crossroad with the potential to unravel everything he has gained, including his sobriety.Jeremy Barlow returns to California to manage a successful ballet company. He is disillusioned by his marriage and feels trapped by impending fatherhood. An unforeseen reunion with his estranged mother reveals a dreadful secret. In this third volume, the three dancers reunite in unexpected ways with capricious results that throw each of them a little off center.
About the Author: Alexandra Collard has been involved in dance most of her life. Even though all the companies in this book are fictional, they embody many issues of the companies she danced with in her early adulthood. When her son Shane was accepted as a scholarship student at the School of American Ballet, she quit dancing and moved to New York City. While there, she worked in the administration offices at George Balanchine's New York City Ballet in 1980. A year later, she was the administrator of the American Ballet Theatre School when it was re-formed as a special scholarship program under the direction of Mikhail Baryshnikov and Patricia Wilde. In addition to dance and theater, Alexandra wrote a newspaper column about the arts, and articles for two popular dog magazines. She also worked as a forensic psychologist for 22 years. Alexandra has lived in San Diego California, New York City, Richmond Virginia, and several venues in Europe. She traces her family background to Montréal. Currently, she is retired and lives in Monterey California where she performs in local theater productions, and continues to write.
