About the Book

In the distant future, Earth is no more. A community of Latinxs aboard a space colony called Justice is all that remains of the human race. Under merciless rule and heavy control, they live in poverty, tirelessly working to please their rulers in the Citadel.

This is the statuesque and none are the wiser until an unexpected, catastrophic event robs everyone of their sight... except for Beto. He is the last of his people able to see. In the wake of great devastation, it is up to him to learn if anyone will be able to reclaim their sense of sight and how to navigate this new era of human existence. In doing so, he quickly comes to realize that the cause of the blindness has left great terrors for him to discover and defeat- both in the darkness of space and the darkness within.

In blindness, a greater vision waits to be discovered.

About the Author: Gume is an author native to the Rio Grande Valley, TX. In 2007, he left Texas to further his college education, and after graduating, he lived in various states throughout the USA. With each place Gume lived being completely different from the others, his travels unexpectedly became a journey of self-discovery. Marked by each of those places in their own special ways, Gume was provoked to pursue his childhood dream of being an author. At the time of this publication, Gume is back in the RGV and continues to write his place into this world. His most notable work is his fantasy series entitled "Kingdom of Abel". His most recent release, "Blind in Justice", is a Sci-fi Coming of Age tale, which is an allegory that sheds light on the corruption of authority in all possible arenas of life. In addition to printing his work, Gume has begun visiting schools with the goal of empowering young writers and readers to pursue their dreams of becoming authors. Having come from a region with unfavorable statistics, Gume knows how impossible it may seem to accomplish a dream. Students from his past speaking events have walked away with confidence in their talents and in themselves as individuals. To contact Gume, email: Gume@KingdomOfAbel.com
