About the Book

Book More Business: Make Money Speaking is the definitive guide on the business of speaking. It offers everything you need to know for jump-starting your speaking business or taking an already-successful speaking business to the next level. At the core of these lessons? The imperative to make money speaking.

Lois Creamer contends that even if you have the most interesting and important message in the world, it will go unheard if you don't have a platform. Book More Business: Make Money Speaking illustrates how to get that platform and how to be well paid for your work.

-Identify target markets and find the decision-makers who will hire you
-Leverage social media to find prospects and attract followers
-Utilize additional revenue streams to complement your speaking income

If you're a professional speaker (or you'd like to be) and you need a practical strategy for booking more business and making more money speaking, this book was written for you.

About the Author:

Lois Creamer is a recognized expert working with speakers who want to book more business, make more money and fully monetize their intellectual property. She is a veteran in the speaking industry, having started her company, Book More Business, in 1998. Lois is a proud member of the National Speakers Association, and a frequent presenter at their national meetings and chapters. Notable clients include Chicken Soup's Jack Canfield; bestselling author of The Sales Bible, Jeffrey Gitomer; and presentation guru Patricia Fripp. Lois has advised Hall of Fame speakers and other speaking superstars, like Jeffrey Hayzlett, Karyn Buxman, Kathleen Passanisi, Roger Crawford, LeAnn Theiman, Bill Cates, Marjorie Brody, and Cy Wakeman, as well as those earlier in their careers. One of the things Lois has valued most in her 20 years in the speaking industry has been the opportunity to meet some of the most interesting people in the world -- from a notorious gang member (now reformed and wildly successful) to a former general who was head of NATO. Lois also developed sales programs for corporations and associations under the banner Fast Forward Selling.

Lois Creamer describes herself as both cheerleader and strategist. Her expertise and no-nonsense style has led her to be invited to speak at a dozen National Speakers Association annual meetings, numerous NSA winter meetings and at every NSA chapter in the United States. She has also presented at Canadian Association of Professional Speakers conventions and chapters, as well as several Global Association of Speakers events. Publications in which Lois appears include Forbes, Bloomberg Business, Speaker Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

Book More Business: Make Money Speaking is Lois Creamer's first book. She lives in Kirkwood, Missouri, with her husband Dick and her company's "Chief of Joyfulness," their yellow Labrador Retriever Buddy. She also makes frequent trips to California to visit her journalist daughter, Maggie. When she's not busy consulting, speaking and writing, Lois enjoys reading and traveling -- especially to a beach!
