Die brasilianische Küche wurde aus portugiesischen, afrikanischen, indianischen, spanischen, französischen, italienischen, japanischen und deutschen Einflüssen entwickelt. Eine starke Verbindung zu Portugal, das immer eine starke Verbindung zum Meer hatte; Es ist nicht verwunderlich zu sehen, dass Brasilien Meeresfrüchte und Fisch so stark in seine traditionelle Küche aufgenommen hat. Eines der Gerichte, die in Brasilien in dieser Kategorie hervorstechen, ist die Moqueca, ein allgemeiner Begriff für einen Fischeintopf, der sich heute zu so vielen verschiedenen Gerichten entwickelt hat... Viele Regionen Brasiliens haben ihre eigene Version von Moqueca kreiert, basierend auf die natürlich vorkommenden Fischarten an jeder Küstenlinie dieser Region.
