About the Author: Miguel Ángel Novillo López (Madrid, 1981), es doctor por el Departamento de Historia Antigua de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid con Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado. Ha orientado su labor investigadora al estudio de la presencia pompeyana y cesariana en la península ibérica así como a la romanización y arqueología de España. Colabora con el Departamento de Historia Antigua de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid como miembro del Consejo Técnico de Testimonia Hispaniae Antiqua, del Grupo de Investigación sobre Ciudades Romanas y de la Asociación Interdisciplinar de Estudios Romanos. Ha cursado varias estancias de investigación en la escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma y en la Università degli Studi di Trieste. A raíz de sus investigaciones, tomando siempre como referencia la civilización romana y todo lo que la rodea, ha participado en congresos nacionales e internacionales, libros, revistas científicas y divulgativas como Historia National Geographic, Clío Historia o Anatomía de la Historia. Entre sus libros destacan títulos como El territorio de las ciudades romanas (Sísifo, 2008), Breve historia de Julio César (Nowtilus, 2011), Breve historia de Roma (Nowtilus, 2012) o César y Pompeyo en Hispania (Sílex, 2012). Actualmente es investigador postdoctoral de la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología en la Università degli Studi di Trieste.
