About the Book

Ordinary moments build extraordinary lives

This inspiring novel based upon a true story will tug at your heartstrings and renew your faith in true love.

Handyman Mitch Conner personifies the meaning of mentor. Unlocking potential, he builds up both people and structures. Using the proper tools for each job, he shows how simple materials create exquisite results. Some lives become cottages, others estates, yet each is precious in its own way.

After losing his wife and home, Mitch is left haunted and longing. One moment of fate fulfills his dream to be part of a family. But when illness threatens to demolish it, Mitch relies on relationships-the concrete that fortifies our existence-in his battle to save himself once again. Bonds with loved ones deepen as they laugh, labor and learn the meaning of life.

Step into Mitch's boots. Journey through seasons filled with joy, hardship and tests of will in this touching story about an everyday hero you will never forget.
About the Author: Lillian Corrigan was born in New York and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey. As a young person, she was quiet and studious. Her hobbies included gymnastics, softball, bicycling, swimming, puzzles and crafting a variety of things through trial and error. She led her sisters in games of "school," aspiring to become a teacher. Lillian attended St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and then obtained her MBA from Rider University. During different portions of her career, she has worked in industry, teaching, and management. She enjoys facilitating retreats and conducting workshops on a variety of topics including how to use different types of software to make tasks more efficient and effective, and finding strength and goodness in the face of adversity and hardship.

Lillian enjoys all forms of writing and uses journaling as a means to cope, learn and grow from struggles and challenging experiences. She finds reading relaxing and story-telling, especially by the older generation, fascinating.

Things that inspire Lillian include our everyday heroes, puppies, forests, streams, wildlife, and the small miracles found through and with other people every day.

Lillian's aspirations include more writing: novels, children's books, and self-help articles. She also offers editing, coaching and formatting services for other authors wishing to publish.
