About the Book

Like sharks safe in the dark fathoms of the sea to prey on targets, the Bullies' Predatory Footprint looks at the vast, opportunistic, cruel, and predatory behaviour of bullying that is exercised to repress and maintain an ascendancy of dominance, power, and control over others. Harrying many young and vulnerable people to suicide, the clarion cry from communities, families, and friends touched and disabled by its impact is reduced to little more than a humanitarian reflex when social, economic, and cultural changes are not followed up by legitimised actions. Contradictions at the core of moral and democratic values are made evident as the cumulative imprint of hostile and cruel behaviour casts a long shadow on civil society. In thirty years time, unanswerable questions to posterity and a lack of human response may seem perplexing to a new generation of people born into an inherited form of entrapment.
About the Author: Terri qualified as a Science teacher at the National University of Ireland in Cork and taught pupils between the ages of twelve and nineteen for several years. After completing a Management course Terri began a career in management, going on on to become a Senior Personnel and Marketing Manager with a multi-national company. Later Terri qualified as an Enterprise Instructor helping people to start their own business and continues to run courses in Enterprise and Anti-bullying, while completing her PhD studies in Psychology and Legal Studies. Always interested in the study of bullying, Terri's first book on the topic, entitled Bullies, Victims and Bystanders, sold out and was featured in many leading newspapers and magazines and on TV and radio programmes. Terri's current book The Bullies' Predatory Footprint, looks at the vast, opportunistic, cruel, and predatory behaviour of bullying and the cumulative impact this legacy of behaviour leaves for future generations. Terri has become a significant figure in helping people to clarify and resolve problems of bullying. She travels to Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia giving talks and courses on the topic of bullying to employers and employees, the elderly, schools, parents, and survivors of abusive relationships.
