It's been over twenty-seven years since Harry Moore lost his mother and ten years since he accidentally killed his friend Bowie Blue in self-defense. A childhood spent as a scapegoat for his jealous brothers and his broken heart have crushed his spirit and set him on a path from which he sees little possibility of escape.
Even after all this time, the guilt and images continue to haunt his dark and unsettled mind.
Confused and on the run, Moore heads to Mexico in an attempt to escape his tragic past and the alcoholism that's plagued him for years. After a chance meeting catapults him into a job as a field representative for a Mexican oil-drilling company, Moore lands in China, hoping his luck has finally turned.
Through a series of events that leads to his termination, Moore is penniless and once again finds himself scurrying for shelter and racing to make it out of Shanghai alive.
