About the Book

Der MUNCHNER KREIS wurde im September 1974 auf Initiative von Persönlichkeiten aus Wissenschaft, Politik, Wirtschaft und den Medien mit Unterstützung der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissen- schaften gegründet. Der Verein dient der Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Erforschung aller mit der Entwicklung, der Errichtung und dem Betrieb von technischen Kommunikationssystemen und deren Nutzung zusammen- hängenden Fragen.Dabei sollen insbesondere die mit der Einführung neuer Kommunikationstechnologien auftretenden menschlichen, gesellschaftlichen, wirtschaftlichen und politischen Probleme behandelt werden. Die Aufgabenstellung des MUNCHNER KREISES ist also überdis- ziplinär. Während die speziellen Fachaspekte, z.B. der Nach- richtentechnik oder der Medienpolitik, in deri jeweils spezifischen wissenschaftlichen Vereinigungen behandelt werden, ist der MUNCHNER KREIS bemüht, die Beiträge der wissenschaftlichen -Disziplinen zur Lösung des umfassenden Problems der Kommunika- tion zu integrieren. Besonderes Augenmerk wird den Voraussetzungen gewidmet, unter denen Innovationsschritte der Kommunikationstechnologie erfolg- reich vollzogen werden können. Nach den Produktivitätserfolgen in der industriellen Fertigung richten sich die Bemühungen um eine weitere Steigerung der Produktivität auf die Arbeitsprozesse im Büro. Die herkömmlichen Kommunikationstechniken des administrativ n Schriftverkehrs werden schrittweise in Frage gestellt und durch neue, weitgehend automatisierte Systeme der Information und Kommunikation abgelöst. Dabei handelt es sich nicht lediglich um den Einsatz neuer Techniken, sondern um die Bewältigung neuer VI Tätigkeitsfolgen und Organisationsformen. Im Vordergrund der Betrachtung steht der Wirtschaftlichkeitsaspekt des Büros der Zukunft. Um die Vielfalt der Betrachtungsmöglichkeiten und Lösungsansätze deutlich zu machen, konnten Referenten aus den USA und Deutsch- land gewonnen werden, die über Erfahrungen zu unterschiedlichen Systemen und Anwendungsgebieten verfügen. Die Aussagen werden durch quantitative Untersuchungsbefunde belegt.
