Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Theologie - Vergleichende Religionswissenschaft, Note: 1,3, Universität Bielefeld, Veranstaltung: Calvin und der Calvinismus, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Genfer Reformator Johannes Calvin (1509-1564) entwickelte und vertrat in seiner Theologie eine Lehre vom dreifachen Mittleramt Jesu Christi als Prophet, König und Priester. Diese Ämterlehre ist ein praktisch-dogmatischer Versuch Calvins, die Bedeutung Jesu Christi für den Glauben aufzuzeigen. Der Theologe Klauspeter Blaser bringt die Ämterlehre Calvins folgendermaßen auf den Punkt: "Sie will die Beziehung zwischen der Person und dem Werk Christi herstellen und aussagen. Wer Jesus ist, manifestiert sich in seinem Werk." Zuerst wird in dieser Arbeit gezeigt, welche Einflüsse dazu führten, dass Calvin diese Lehre entwickelte (auch unter Gegenüberstellung mit Martin Luthers Lehre von den zwei Ämtern Christi, welche von Karin Bornkamm ausführlich erforscht wurde). Es folgt eine detaillierte Darstellung und Interpretation seiner Ämterlehre, um die Inhalte dieser Lehre zu erfahren und die genauen Aussageabsichten Calvins, die er bei dieser Lehre im Sinn hatte. Hierbei wird ausdrücklich auf Theologen Bezug genommen, die sich ausführlich mit Calvin beschäftigen (z.B. Klauspeter Blaser, Matthias Freudenberg und Georg Plasger). Im Anschluss daran soll es um die Rezeption der Ämterlehre Calvins gehen. Dies betrifft die Theologie, die unmittelbar auf Calvin folgte (altprot. Orthodoxie), vor allem aber die Theologie der Gegenwart (Karl Barth, Otto Weber, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Jan Milic Lochman, Jürgen Moltmann, Karin Bornkamm, Gerhard Ebeling, Hans-Martin Barth, Wilfried Härle und Ralf Karolus Wüstenberg). Hier wird aufgezeigt, dass auf der einen Seite Kritikpunkte gegen die Struktur und den Inhalt des dreifachen Amtes Christi vorgebracht werden, zum anderen die Lehre aber nach wie vor von Theologen verwendet wird. Dies geschieht mal in erheblicher Nähe zu Calvin, mal in divers
