About the Author: Valentina Vasile is Senior Researcher, Professor and PhD advisor in Economics and Scientific Director of the Institute of National Economy at the Romania Academy. She is also Vice President of the General Association of Economists of Romania.

Currently Prof. Vasile is involved in international research projects on cultural heritage economics, focusing on the new model of the heritage innovative valuing and valorization, based on ITC devices for heritage conservation and marketing as smart cultural products. She is (co)author of research many papers and books on cultural heritage economics.

With a wider specialization in different aspects of socio-economic sustainable development, Prof. Vasile has expertise in interdisciplinary cooperation and research promoting a better understanding of the diversity and complexity of heritage, and also as an alternative entrepreneurial culture in the heritage sector.
