About the Book
I have heard my entire life that misery loves company, but Joy is a much better friend, so I choose Joy and now say: "Joy Loves Company." Dr Bruce Purnell
The term "love," derived from Sanskrit lubhyati, meaning "desire," is the most potent energy and force in our social world and is universally understood through our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Most of us have heard that love conquers all, love wins, love heals, and God is love, so I posit that one human behavior that consistently yields positive outcomes is loving more. Love is more robust than logic and science and universally affects all humanity regardless of culture, gender, class, sexual orientation, or other characteristics that allow us to attach "isms." Love is a shot of adrenaline, endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin, and vasopressin. It involves the limbic system's basal nuclei, the thalamus, and the hypothalamus, and it can act both as an analgesic and a sedative. Love connects to the sympathetic nervous system's fight or flight responses, so instead of saying fight, flight, or freeze, we also have the option to love more. Parents wait for their babies to utter love as their first emotional power concept with "I love you, Mommy" and "I love you, Daddy." There is no question about the importance of how love ultimately shapes our lives. If love happens positively, healthily, and healingly, it will be our most vital protective factor and will be connected to transformative decisions and healthy lifestyles. However, if love is absent or abusive, it will be the most salient risk factor in our life choices, creating cliché sayings like "looking for love in all the wrong places." We are on the cusp of something truly magical. The path ahead is challenging but deeply rewarding. Remember, transformation, healing, emotional weight loss, and our journey to joy are processes, not events. Each day, as we engage with the wisdom and tools offered in this book, we will find ourselves closer to breaking free from our cocoon, stretching our wings, and taking that exhilarating first flight. So let's begin. After all, a caterpillar's destiny is transformation, and crawling is only a process leading to future flight. If we ever find ourselves stuck on the ground, we must drop some emotional baggage to be light enough to fly. I will be as light as a feather,
And you will never deny
From Trust, Love, and Transformation I'm born,
And Affirmations make me fly.
In the realm of Love,
My impact is sure,
And in times of Healing,
My presence is pure.
I dance with Spirits in the Day.
and Meditate at night
Until we connect in Divine Purpose[.1]
I will be out of your sight,
But when you align,
It's going to be a beautiful ride
And you will no longer have to search for me
Because I will be inside
Who am I? The answer is: My butterfly.
Thank you for being Brave enough to embark on this journey of Healing, Love, Forgiveness, and Transformation!
