About the Book

In the golden age of the expansion of Celtic culture, a prophecy warns the chieftain of the Eagle clan of the Cenomani Gauls, which in the 5th century. B.C. they had occupied the territories around Lake Bennacus, at the slopes of the Rhaetian Alps. It said that a great danger will pounce on their people who are risking to fall into oblivion. One of his descendants, Etitovius, in the 1st century B.C. he will discover that the prophesied threat is near, the legions of Rome are upon them. The return to the ancestral territories, the Celtic Gaul, is worth nothing, as the invasion of Caesar urges them again, so that the heir of the clan chief, Gwenvael, is forced to flee. It will go first in Armorica, land of sailors and seafarers, then up to the mysterious and misty Britannia, where, after being precipitated in exiled condition and without land, a series of events, united to the mystical divinations of the Druids, will make him pursue a path of redemption and revenge. Involved with historical and legendary events and characters, Gwenvael will do enterprises to save his people and follow the path indicated by the gods. Adventures and expeditions will bring him back to the colorful tribes of a war-torn Gaul with Rome, and then to Eriu, Ireland, a land of myths and heroes. In this journey through a troubled era for most Celtic peoples, and traveling through lands in which magic and mystery occur in extraordinary events as in everyday life, the young Celt will have to learn to balance the three energies in which the Oiw, the principle unique and uncreated, it manifests itself: Love, Strength, and Knowledge. With him will be Tormaid, banfaith (woman druid) of Britannia, Ailis, princess of Aràinn, and many other exciting characters, who will have to engage in adventures and face dark enemies looming on the horizon, in the eternal struggle that is awakening, between an ancient evil and their gods, the Bright ones.
