About the Book

Im vorliegenden Buch geht es um Realisierungsmöglichkeiten gemeinsamer Erziehung behinderter und nicht behinderter Kinder im Elementarbereich. Zunächst wird ein Überblick gegeben über die bisherigen Modelle und Realisierungsversuche integrativer Erziehung. Weiterhin wird untersucht, unter welchen Rahmenbedingungen eine gemeinsame Erziehung in Kindertagesstätten sowohl für die behinderten als auch für die nicht behinderten Kinder sinnvoll ist, wo sie an ihre Grenzen stößt, wann Probleme auftauchen können und was im Hinblick auf spezifische Behinderungsarten zu berücksichtigen ist. Im letzten Teil des Buches werden gezielte integrationsfördernde Maßnahmen zusammengestellt, die eine Hilfe zum praktischen Einstieg in die integrative Arbeit geben sollen.
About the Author: Brigitte Halfkann ist von Beruf Diplom-Pädagogin und arbeitet seit vielen Jahren mit Kindern verschiedener Altersstufen. Ihr Studium an der Universität Köln schloss sie 1987 erfolgreich mit der Diplomprüfung ab. Schon während ihres Studiums bildete sich das Interesse an der integrativen Erziehung behinderter Kinder in Kindertagesstätten heraus. Die praktische Arbeit mit Kindern bestärkte sie in der Überzeugung, dass von einer gemeinsamen Erziehung behinderter und nichtbehinderter Kinder beide Seiten nur profitieren können.
