About the Author:

Alexander Pfeuffer, gefragter Bühnen- und Drehbuchautor sowohl in Berlin als auch Los Angeles, ist Verfasser zahlreicher Hörspiele und Stücke, darunter Vermisst für das Theaterhaus Jena. Das Theaterstück, das den eskalierenden Konflikt zwischen der Ehefrau und der Geliebten eines verschwundenen Mannes thematisiert, wurde für das Dramafest in Mexico Stadt ausgewählt. Der auf einem seiner Drehbücher basierende Spielfilm Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken hat unter anderem den Europäischen Filmpreis gewonnen.

Pfeuffer lebt derzeit in Berlin. Hinterbliebene, eine seiner letzten Regiearbeiten, gehörte zur offiziellen Auswahl beim Max-Ophüls-Preis Festival 2010. Pfeuffer schreibt zudem für die Fernsehanstalten ARD und ZDF.

Seit 2012 ist Pfeuffer Vorstand von WELTFILME.org, einer Nichtregierungsorganisation, die Filmprojekte in Ländern der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit initiiert und fördert.
