Like the characters in the novel, we must learn how to trust God and stand on His Word when times get rough. The Church Girls have a common bond that centers on their love for Christ. About the Author: DeLisa Shelby Claude is a resident of Indiana and has been a pastor's kid the majority of her life. When DeLisa was young, her family relocated from Indianapolis to Muncie, Indiana in order for her father to pastor a church. They later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where her father still pastors. Her entire life has been surrounded with meeting and interacting with many pastors and their families. As a young girl, DeLisa enjoyed writing and even participated in a writing contest in elementary school. She always enjoyed writing but never fully recognized her gift. In 1996, a very good friend asked DeLisa to write a recommendation on her behalf. After reading the recommendation, her friend recognized DeLisa's gift and inspired her to pursue a writing career. It was this encouragement that later prompted her to write Church Girls. DeLisa is married to her husband, Eric; and together their family comprises of three daughters, Jada, Chloe', and Jaqkee, and one son, Eric II. DeLisa wrote Church Girls with the inspiration to remind Christians that they are not excluded from troublesome lives, but their relationship with Christ allows them to be able to withstand any trials and tribulations.
