About the Book

Apollo ran an exclusive team of women assassins in Paris that stretched throughout Europe for many years. She catered to the rich and most powerful. However, her anger at not being able to complete a mission clouded her judgment and was ultimately her downfall. She had a sister, named Dominique who she hadn't spoken to in over ten years, who was living a quiet life in Portugal. When she heard of the death of her sister Apollo, her world had just exploded into a world of lies, treachery, greed, and murder. Her own personal life was now turned upside down trying to find out who had killed Apollo. Dominique flew to Paris, only to arrange for the funeral of her sister. However, as soon as she left the safe comfort of her home, her life changed. She was more than ever determined to find the people responsible for Apollo's death. Dominique had no idea where how or where Apollo lived. But when she arrived at the Château, she was in awe at what her sister had accomplished over the years. Her own life as a schoolteacher in a small town now seemed dull in comparison to the way Apollo had lived. She had closets full of clothes to trunks full of jewels for every occasion based on the assignment. Apollo also had fifty women that worked as the actual assassins to do her bidding. They all lived at the Château grounds, with all the pleasures and comforts royalty only has. As Dominque delves into her world, she finds that people Apollo had entrusted with her life took that opportunity to take what they wanted. While Domonique continually said to the assassin team, that she did not want to take over Apollo's business, something was drawing her in slowly as she was discovering who had killed Apollo. Her previous life, with her husband Charles and her father Arno, also started to unravel. However, she only found out about it because she was in Paris, taking care of the funeral arrangements of her sister. She now had two situations to resolve and she had to do it quickly.
