About the Book

Best known as an author of books for teens, Terry Trueman has always been a poet at heart. He has written poetry, off and on, for 50-plus years. The poems in this selection are NOT for teens or kids.

From the Author's Preface

These writings are NOT for children or teens. If you're an adult or almost an adult and you like them, great. Otherwise, you probably should find something else to read.

The writings here are snapshots of my soul. That's all. If you've ever loved me or been loved by me, ever disliked me or been disliked by me, if you've ever had much of anything at all to do with me or me with you, chances are you're in here someplace. And if not now, I'll catch you next time.

Enjoy, TT

Praise for Stuck In Neutral"Shawn will stay with readers, not for what he does, but for what he is and has made of himself." -Kirkus Reviews

Praise for Inside Out"Short, sharp and shocking. It's simply brilliant."-Pulse, Christchurch Public Library

Praise for Cruise ControlCruise Control JS (starred Review) "This companion novel to Trueman's acclaimed Stuck in Neutral ... is a disturbing but ultimately hopeful tale about anger and love and a must read for anyone who read Stuck in Neutral ..."-Kliatt, September 2004

Praise for No Right Turn"No Right Turn is intense and fast-paced, and just like with Trueman's previous titles ... readers will be left thinking about the main protagonist for a long time."-TeenReads.com

Praise for Sheehan"I read Sheehan yesterday-it completely overwhelmed me with its power, honesty, imagery-all of it. I could not put it down or stop reading, for even a second."-Naomi Shihab-Nye, Poet and writer
