What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Easter? For a Christian, the cross or the empty tomb may come to mind first. A flood of media images and merchandise on store shelves increases the possibility that the Easter Bunny will come to mind for the general public. So, how did a rabbit distributing eggs become synonymous with Easter?
For Christians, Easter is the most significant festival, season, or event. This is to recognize and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, if Christ had not risen from the dead, the Christian faith would not exist.
All of our preaching and your faith, according to Paul's first epistle to the Corinthian Church, are meaningless until Christ has risen. And we would all be lying about God if we declared that God raised Christ from the grave. That, however, cannot be the case if there is no resurrection of the dead. If there is no resurrection of the dead, Christ has not been raised. Again, if Christ has not risen, your faith is ineffective, and you are still responsible for your crimes. In that case, everyone who has died and trusted in Christ is lost. Furthermore, if our faith in Christ is only for this life, we are more deserving of sympathy than anybody else in the world. 1 Cor. 15:14-19
The resurrection is at the heart of Christian belief, and it is commemorated on Easter. This is true since Christ resurrected from the dead in accordance with prophecy, confirming, certain, and safe our faith.
When Christians celebrate Christ's birth at Christmas, we don't merely rejoice because He was born. We wouldn't be celebrating His birth if He was born, crucified, died, was buried, and then died again because He wouldn't be who He claimed to be. Jesus refused to provide the salvation and redemption that He claimed He was sent to provide.
The Word was present from the start. Both the Word and God were identical. He had been with God since dusk. Nothing was formed apart from him; everything was made through him. The Word gave life to all that was made, and his life illuminated everything. The darkness cannot extinguish the light since it shines there. As a result, the Word took on human form and came to live among us.
