Le marché de la consommation est aujourd'hui de plus en plus diversifié; il est donc devenu crucial pour le succès des détaillants d'attirer et de fidéliser les clients. C'est pourquoi les détaillants ont adopté des outils et des techniques de merchandising visuel pour se différencier des autres détaillants du marché et attirer et fidéliser une vaste clientèle susceptible d'acheter de manière impulsive. L'objectif premier de cette étude était d'examiner la relation entre les dimensions du merchandising visuel et le comportement d'achat impulsif des consommateurs dans le secteur de la vente au détail au Népal. La zone d'étude de cette recherche était les magasins de détail des centres commerciaux de la ville de Katmandou, Labim mall et Eyeplex Mall en particulier, et les données ont été collectées auprès des personnes interrogées par le biais d'une méthode d'enquête par questionnaire. L'achat impulsif étant désormais perçu comme un comportement courant, les détaillants devraient saisir l'occasion et tirer profit de l'utilisation de différents éléments de merchandising visuel, souvent qualifiés d'"art de la vente silencieuse".
