In 1998 John moved to New York, where, like U.S. Head of Credit Risk Management, was responsible for the credit risk aspects of all insurance and capital markets transactions.
In 2003 he became Head of US Structured Credit Underwriting, where he initiated and structured financial guarantees and credit derivative reinsurance businesses. Since 2008, he has worked with risk managers at Fortune 500 companies to develop traditional and non-standard insurance solutions. John Walker holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from ENTPE (France) and an MBA from INSEAD (France).
