En este estudio se han transcrito todos los textos conservados de Nostradamus palabra por palabra y se agruparon juntos en un mismo archivo, presagios, almanaques, pronosticaciones, cartas, y centurias. El resultado ha sido sorprendente. Nostradamus unió todos sus textos mediante los nombres, verbos, palabras, y expresiones que aparecen en las diferentes cuartetas. Nostradamus para su siglo plasmó mayoritariamente los enfrentamientos entre Carlos V y Francisco I, dos enemigos que expandieron su odio y batallas hasta Italia, Bélgica y España. La Francia de Nostradamus se aliaría con el temido sultán otomano Solimán en su afán de derrotar al gran Imperio español. Unas veces sería el vencedor y otras el vencido. Francisco I llegó a ser apresado junto a sus hijos por Carlos V, suceso que le marcaría durante el resto de sus días y que avivó más aún si cave el odio hacia su adversario. Pero el tiempo avanzaba ante sus vidas y la huella de la edad mellaba sus ánimos. Francisco I falleció y le sucedería su hijo Enrique II, quien pese a su juventud poco tardó en hacer frente al viejo enemigo de su antecesor. El nuevo rey francés contrajo matrimonio con Catalina de Médicis, un personaje que supo apreciar las dotes proféticas de Nostradamus encumbrándole a las más altas esferas. Las guerras entre los otomanos, españoles y franceses fueron continuas durante más de medio siglo, especialmente por las regiones italianas del Milanesado, Génova y Nápoles. Carlos V cansado de una vida repleta de confrontamientos decidió abdicar en sus hijos Felipe II y Fernando, repartiendo su Gran Imperio entre España, las Indias y el Sacro Imperio Romano Germánico. En este momento histórico aparecería otro grande llamado Felipe II de España, que llegaría a ser rey de Inglaterra y Portugal por sus matrimonios. Nostradamus vio en este nuevo rey a un grande que defendería a la cristiandad con fiereza doblegando al sucesor de Solimán, el sultán Selim II, en la Batalla de Lepanto. Francia se vería convulsionada por la muerte de Enrique II en un torneo, este suceso predicho por el profeta, prendería la llama de la Guerra de Religión. Las calamidades no terminaron ahí para Francia; Francisco II, Carlos IX y Enrique III, se sucederían en el trono uno tras otro tras la muerte de su padre, ante la mirada hundida de su madre Catalina de Médicis. Pero la historia seguía su curso con la aparición de los tres Enriques; Enrique III, Enrique de Guisa, y Enrique de Navarra. Este último terminó con la dinastía de los Valois, proclamándose rey de Francia como Enrique IV, y junto a él, la rama de los Borbones florecería en el país galo. El siglo llegaría a su fin dejando atrás figuras clave que escribieron su historia: Carlos V, Francisco I, Felipe II, Enrique II, Catalina de Médicis, el Duque de Alba, Juan de Austria, Solimán, Selim II, y tantos otros a los que Nostradamus describió en esta primera centuria, que solo queda rendirse ante el más grande profeta que ha existido nunca.
