Piatto tipico è il tabbouleh, un'insalata di prezzemolo, pomodori e burghul, con numerose varianti, il gusto ricorda decisamente il limone.Diffuse sono le verdure ripiene come zucchine, zucche, melanzane e bietole con ripieni vegetariani, di carne e riso e di carne e pinoli.Si trovano comunemente sulle tavole i "kabees", i sottaceti libanesi, ma anche insalate e tantissima frutta di stagione.Anche nel vino il Libano non teme confronti con le altre culture mediorientali.C'è un'oasi in Libano che nella storia non è stata sfiorata dal fondamentalismo islamico, né dai conflitti: è la Valle della Bekaa, roccaforte di una delle più antiche produzioni di vino. In Libano furono i fenici, quattromila anni fa, a portare la coltura della vite.
