About the Author: Dr. Bates discovered the true function of the eyes and vision. The Origin of Natural Eyesight Improvement. He proved (with his experiments on the eyes, eye muscles, nerves and natural treatments) that tension, strain in the mind, outer and inner eye muscles, incorrect use of the eyes/vision (lack of relaxation, no shifting/central fixation...) is the main cause of unclear vision and other eye problems. He proved that relaxation of the mind, eye muscles, eyes, body, practicing correct eye/vision function produce a normal, healthy eye shape with correct focus of light rays in the eyes, clear vision and cures many eye problems. He proved that eyeglasses, unnecessary eye, eye muscle surgery cause and increase vision impairment, other eye problems, eye disease. Dr. Bates devoted his life to curing vision and eye conditions without eyeglasses, surgery, drugs. Doctors selling eyeglasses, contacts, sunglasses, eye surgery, drugs were losing money due to Dr. Bates teaching his patients how to cure unclear vision, eye problems with Natural methods. Cured patients taught their friends, family how to obtain clear vision, healthy eyes. Children, cured of unclear vision, crossed, wandering eyes... successfully treated their friends, parents, teachers' vision. A head surgeon expelled Dr. Bates from the college/hospital he worked at. They considered him competition. They tried to destroy his work, reputation. The eye doctors, surgeons have suppressed the Bates Method, hidden the truth about Natural Eyesight Improvement for over 100 years. Patients are prescribed (sold) stronger and stronger, addictive eyeglass lenses, unnecessary, harmful astigmatism lenses, eye surgery and drugs. Advanced eye problems and blindness occur. This dishonest treatment continues to this day.
