About the Book

England's most celebrated consulting detective, Sherlock Holmes, is on the prod again in this captivating collection of ten adventures, told in the voice of Dr John H Watson, Holmes's fictional biographer and companion. Holmes solves a whodunit gruesome murder involving a wildcat, as well as others with equivalent mystery. Holmes is his brilliant self as he unravels a scheme in which the body of a man turns up missing. In each of the stories, the authors preserve the dialogue and the intrigue immortalized by the writing of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. As the narratives unfold, the reader is whisked back to that time and place Doyle so vividly captured.
About the Author: Jack Grochot is a retired investigative newspaper journalist and a former federal law enforcement agent specializing in mail fraud cases. He lives on a small horse farm in southwestern Pennsylvania, where he writes and oversees a boarding operation. Grochot has authored several stories in anthologies and magazines as well as written three books, Come, Watson, Quickly! and Beware, Watson, Danger!, both containing Sherlock Holmes pastiches. Saga of a Latter-Day SaddleTramp, Grochot's nonfiction book, is a memoir of his five-year horseback journey across twelve states. Grochot, an active member of Mystery Writers of America, can be contacted by e-mail: grochot@comcast.net. Dustin Bass has been writing professionally for more than a decade. He received his journalism degree from Sam Houston State University and has worked in journalism and marketing. His debut novel, Fight, was published in 2014. He recently finished his second novel of historical fiction on the Korean War. He is currently the creative director for a Houston marketing firm, yet makes time to write about various journalistic topics on his personal website, dustinbass.me. He is a regular guest speaker at local high schools and colleges on the subjects of creative writing and Korea. Much like Sherlock Holmes, Dustin Bass has an affinity for boxing and won the Southeast Texas Golden Gloves Championship in 2010.
