Diese empirische Untersuchung liefert erstmals Antworten auf die Frage, ob angehende Lehrpersonen wirksame Lernstrategien kennen und anwenden. Die im Zentrum stehende Online-Befragung verfolgt zwei Ziele: Erstens erhalten die Teilnehmenden Auskunft über ihr persönliches Lernprofil und damit über ihre Stärken und Schwächen beim Studieren. Zweitens liefert eine Datenanalyse Befunde, inwiefern sich eine Grossgruppe von Studierenden zeitgemässer Formen wirksamen Lernens bedient.
Damit schliesst die Studie eine Forschungslücke. Die idealtypische Vorstellung, dass mit höherem Bildungsgrad automatisch eine höhere Lernkompetenz vorausgesetzt werden kann, ist weit verbreitet. Diese Erwartung wird empirisch kaum überprüft, obwohl das Lernverhalten Erwachsener im Tertiärbereich zunehmend als Ressource erkannt ist. In der Ausbildung von angehenden Lehrpersonen erhält das Lernenlernen im Studium eine wachsende Bedeutung. Unterrichten kann vor allem erfolgreich, wer selbst über eine vertiefte Lernkompetenz verfügt, um im Schulalltag Lernprozesse unterschiedlicher Art zu orchestrieren, zu analysieren, zu steuern und zu begleiten.
About the Author: Esther Ruffo wirkte mehrere Jahre lang als Primar- und Sekundarschullehrerin im Kanton Zürich bevor sie in der Weiterbildung von Lehrpersonen tätig wurde. Es folgte ein Studium der Erziehungswissenschaft, der Didaktik und Soziologie an der Universität Zürich, welches sie 2001 mit dem Lizentiat abschloss. Seit 2002 ist sie Dozentin an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Zürich. Ihre Themenschwerpunkte sind: Lernberatung im Studium/Portfolio, Unterrichtsqualität in heterogenen Klassen und Leistungsheterogenität.
