They call it the Pandora virus: an alien pathogen released by a rogue comet. A third of the world falls sick, but most recover-only to be struck down when the virus mutates into a new, deadly form.
Struck down, only to rise again.
Now the undead roam the planet, feeding and spreading the strange alien disease.
In the small town of Colby, the police department can only watch in horror as news reports recount the ongoing apocalypse. Until, that is, the undead come to Colby.
As police officers Troy, Deke, and Frank struggle to save lives, they soon find themselves overwhelmed by the utter strangeness of their new lives. A high school fight becomes a death trap. A disturbance at a local salon turns into a life and death battle. A routine call becomes a death sentence.
The situation only escalates when the sheriff from the next town over blocks residents' attempts to escape Colby-and instead funnels more of the undead toward the besieged town.
Alone, outmanned, and exhausted, Troy and his friends have to accept a cruel reality. Not only are they unable to save their fellow townspeople, they may not even be able to save themselves.
