About the Book

Henry Melonie has been lying to Margaret for 22 years about the affair with his only daughters (Vanessa) Mother. About the Author: Dedrick Weathersby a native from East Texas born to Carolyn Nelson and Alvin Weathersby later raised by Bobby Nelson, with a dream of becoming a famous actor and Playwright, Director. His dream started at Foster Middle School of Longview TX, under the direction of Mrs. (Mama) Mattie Cuba where she taught him the fundamentals of theater and he stared and was the lead in all of her plays which he was named best actor in each of the productions. After graduating from foster he continued his dream filled with ambition to Longview High School where he was in all productions from Annie Get Your Gun, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Coat, Lil Abner, American Clock, Marriage of Bette and Boo, Sussical. His leading roles in the productions broke barriers for more African American students to participate in Theater at Longview High School. He later graduated and went to Lon Morris College where he had a full-ride Scholarship in Musical Theater and Academics; he finally had a chance to showcase his talents which he did in productions of Everyman, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Oklahoma, Which in all productions receive Honorable awards for best actor by the Texas State Board of Thespian Education. He was nominated by the North Texas Region Committee to compete in New York among actors in the nation to see who was the top Actor of the nation's top Junior College Theater programs. After graduating from Lon Morris and moving on to the University Level, He later was invited to tour with Kim Douglas "Three Little Pigs" Where the showings premiered in Texas to name a few cities, Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. He then was invited to showcase his God giving talent of Mime in front of 600,000 people in Detroit Michigan at the Annual National Baptist Convention, After the passing of Legend Michael Jackson, Dedrick Went back to Longview TX where he wrote, directed and produced his own show Titled "The Michael Jackson and Wilbert Lyons Tribute Show" After breaking from the acting environment to get a closer relationship with God and find his true calling in ministry; he transitioned and returned with his hit successful plays Titled "Change will come", "Waiting for my Breakthrough"," He Loves Me"," Reach Deep","Soon and Very Soon", "The Dream." "He gives all his praises and credit to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his support from His Beautiful Mother Carolyn Nelson, God-mother and teacher Mattie Cuba, His grandmother Mary Grant.
