It's time for people on different "sides" of polarizing issues to extend grace to each other for the cause of Christ. We can choose to respond to any situation with love and understanding without compromising our faith. Unity and truth are not mutually exclusive. Followers of Jesus Christ can no longer be consumed by secular events and processes. We must focus our eyes on eternity.
The Deed & Truth Journal is the action guide designed to help you, your family and your church with everyday decisions that honor God's plan for diversity, equity, and inclusion. This journal is a companion to the book Faith Beyond Lip Service.
Read Faith Beyond Lip Service for the foundational principles that challenge us to look at our beliefs and actions relative to DEI through the lens of the word of God instead of our bias or political affiliation.
You can read the devotions and complete the exercises by yourself, in your small group, or as a part of bible study.
Together we will explore Christ's examples for engaging, evangelizing, and discipling people from all walks of life. We will also take a deep look within to see if our deeply held beliefs are from God or man. Let's unify as the body of Christ and fight the real enemy together. Satan knows that deception leads to division and division leads to destruction. Matthew 12:25 says, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
With each passing day it gets harder to differentiate the current news headlines from the bible. It's more apparent than ever that we are living in the last days. It's time for the church to take its rightful place in the work of redemption and reconciliation. The first step is to commit to moving our faith beyond lip service. This will require us to do the hard work of putting down our stones, picking up our crosses, and following Christ.
