About the Book

The Vietnam War ended in April 30, 1975. The Communists sent hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese service men and women to multiple concentration camps without trial for from 3 to scores of years. This book is the memoirs of a soldier who suffered 10 years in the most horrible forced labor camp in central of Vietnam where surviving was almost impossible. The author will tell about the good and the bad sides of humans when facing torture, starvation, hard works, and struggling to survive. How brave and coward men could be when conditions of life was like hell.
About the Author: Born in 1946 in Quang Tri Province (Central of Vietnam). Graduated from Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Polwar College (1st Class, 1966-1969); Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Valedictorian) from Van Hanh University, Saigon; Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin, Master of Science in Engineering Management from National Technological University at Fort Collins, Colorado. Admitted to the US as Political Refugee in May 1990. Worked for Lockheed Martin, Advanced Micro Devices, National Instruments, Motorola; Math Teacher at Pflugerville Independent School District. Retired in 2014. *** Writings and Publishing: Vuon Dia Dang (The Garden of Paradise) and Ba Chua Tuyet (The Snow Queen) consist of short stories translated from Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales.
