Delivery From Evil

John Gavin, a non-practicing middle-aged attorney but aspiring musician, became a "Prepper" per the encouragement of his younger brother, Bob, a scientist, and his nephew, Mike, a former military DELTA Force operator. Following a High-Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (HEMP) attack and an invasion of the United States by a coalition of soldiers from China, North Korea, Iran and Russia in the spring of 2030, John escaped from his Boulder, Colorado residence to join his brother and nephew at their Prepper Colony located in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming. Along the difficult and eventful journey to his destination, he met and gained two mother and daughter traveling companions, Sarah and Amanda Haley, who later became romantically involved with two of the Gavin's. Upon joining his brother, his nephew and their multi-disciplined colleagues at their secret genetic research facility located within The Colony, John became vigorously involved in the mission of disseminating peace throughout the world using his brother's scientific theories, instead of war, a project referred to by his brother as The Genetic Revolution. Due to the initial invasion and occupation success of the enemy coalition, John, Bob and their group of followers experienced many trials and tribulations before their final realization of mission success. Finally achieving total peace throughout the world via The Genetic Revolution, the Group was confronted by unexpected but favorable circumstances that would eventually change the path of planet evolution and the lives of all mankind.
About the Author: Bruce L. Kirby recently left his position of 8 years as the Chief Executive Officer and Facility Developer of the Cowles Clinic, a 100 physician multi-specialty group located at Reynolds Plantation, Greensboro, GA, to retire in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to his tenure with the Cowles Clinic, Bruce was a senior executive with Interim Healthcare, Inc., and Magellan Health, Inc. Bruce retired with a long and impressive list of health care credentials, qualifications and career accomplishments. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire Business Administration Undergraduate Program, Bruce earned a Master of Science degree from the Central Michigan University affiliated U.S. Army Health Care Administration Program. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Bruce retired from the US Army Medical Department in 1994 after spending over 20 years in Army Health Care Administration positions of increasing responsibility. Having completed a successful military career highlighted by serving in three combat campaigns during the Vietnam War (as a Combat Medical Platoon Leader), one combat campaign during the Persian Gulf War (as a medical staffing and recruiting consultant to The US Army Surgeon General during the largest buildup of healthcare personnel resources in the history of the US) and in key staff positions at the US Army Medical Command and the US Army Surgeon General's Office, Bruce retired from the US Army Medical Department with numerous awards to include the Bronze Star Medal and the highest peacetime award for performance, The Legion of Merit Medal. Bruce is also the author of a published non-fiction memoir entitled "Faces of the Dead and the Dying: Memories of a Vietnam Combat Medic"
