Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Wissenschaftstheorie, Anthropologie, Note: 2,3, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Institut für Erziehungswissenschaft), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Pierre Félix Bourdieu wurde am 1. August 1930 in Denguin geboren und starb am 23. Januar 2002 in Paris. Er war ein französischer Philosoph und Soziologe. Eines seiner Hauptwerke ist das Buch "Die feinen Unterschiede" aus dem Jahre 1979. In diesem Werk bezeichnet er die französische Gesellschaft als Klassengesellschaft und macht klar, dass dies auch für alle anderen westlichen Industriegesellschaften der Fall ist. Im Grunde ist Bourdieus Theorie "eine Weiterführung der Theorien sozialer Ungleichheit". Wäre das gesellschaftliche Leben mit einem Glücksspiel vergleichbar, so hätte jeder Mensch jederzeit die Chance, einen neuen, höheren Status innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu erlangen. Oder anders gesagt, es bestünde auch immer die Gefahr, von einem sehr hohen Status in einen sehr niedrigen zu fallen. Das Glücksspiel ist zufällig und absolut unabhängig von der Vergangenheit, ein Paradebeispiel an Chancengleichheit. Keiner hätte einen Vorteil durch seine Eltern und ihre Arbeit, ebenso wenig hätte keiner einen Nachteil aus seiner Herkunft zu befürchten. Dies ist aber in unserer Gesellschaft nicht der Fall. PISA und andere Studien zeigen, dass in Deutschland keine Chancengleichheit, sondern soziale Ungleichheit herrscht. Bourdieu hat mit seiner Theorie die Mechanismen der Reproduktion von sozialer Ungleichheit aufgedeckt. Daher wird diese Arbeit zunächst seine Habitus-Theorie aufgreifen und die wesentlichen Begriffe erklären. Was ist die Kapitaltheorie? Wie äußert sich der Habitus und was sind die verschiedenen Geschmäcker, die Bourdieu beschreibt? Diese Fragen werden in den Mittelpunkt des größeren, theoretischen Teils gerückt.
