Gegenstand dieser Untersuchung sind jene Zuge des Werks von Andersch, die vom modernen Autorenfilm beeinflusst waren. Die Desertion von Alfred Andersch zum Film, das heisst sein jahrelanges Engagement im Bereich des Drehbuchschreibens zeigen die perifilmischen Texte des Autors, aber vor allem seine prafilmischen Texte belegen die Ernsthaftigkeit seines Engagements fur den Autorenfilm. Das Werk des von Andersch bewunderten italienischen Regisseurs Michelangelo Antonioni wird in seinen Grundzugen prasentiert und mit dem Roman -Die Rote- von Andersch und seinem filmischen Schreiben in Beziehung gebracht. Dass auch das Schreiben fur Andersch nichts anderes war als eine asthetische bzw. literarische Formung von Erinnerungen, belegt die grundlegende Rolle des Memoria-Aspekts fur Anderschs Schreiben. Als Abrundung der Prasentation des Erinnerungs-, Sprach- und Bildraums der Desertion bei Andersch wird abschliessend das Motiv der Fahnenflucht im eigentlichen Wortsinne behandelt. Andersch hat in seinen perifilmischen Texten und filmkritischen Arbeiten immer auf dem Primat des Erzahltextes der Literaturverfilmung gegenuber bestanden; in der Praxis jedoch hat er im Roman -Die Rote- gezeigt, dass er durchaus auch optisch dominierte Erzahlverfahren beherrscht."
About the Author: Die Autorin: Maria Elisabeth Brunner wurde 1957 in Bozen geboren. 1983-1986 Studium der Germanistik, Geschichte und der Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft in Innsbruck. Promotion 1983. Anschliessend 9 Jahre Lehrtatigkeit (deutsche Sprache und Literatur) an italienischen Universitaten (Messina, Catania, Trento, Cosenza). Freie Mitarbeit beim RAI-Sender Bozen und bei diversen Kultur- und Literaturzeitschriften. Ubersetzerin aus dem Italienischen. Lehrt derzeit am Institut fur Literaturwissenschaft und am Institut fur Italianistik der Universitat Stuttgart."
