About the Book

Le drame, écrit à l'origine en langue sarde, est maintenant bilingue, étant traduit en anglais par le même auteur.
Il a ses racines dans la culture mégalithique de la mer Méditerranée, à mi-chemin entre l'histoire et les miths de l'île de Sardaigne.
C'est l'intrigue: Sur la tribu de Nure règne Itzocar, qui a pris le commandement vingt ans auparavant, lorsque son frère Gonario est décédé subitement.
Ce faisant, Itzocar a cependant volontairement ignoré les règles de succession imposées par la tradition ancienne, qui prévoyait la régence de la veuve de Gonario, Nakigia, au moins jusqu'à l'âge adulte de son fils Rumisu, encore enfant au moment de la mort du roi. Gonario.
Tentant de légitimer et de renforcer le pouvoir usurpé Itzocar et l'autorité Anù, membre du Conseil des anciens de Nure, conjuguet un double mariage: Damasu, conçu par son père Itzocar pour lui succéder sur le trône, épousera Aristea (qui est la fille du défunt la soeur du roi, Alàshia), tandis qu'Elki, fils d'Anù épousera Gula (fille d'Itzocar).
Mais Nakigia, veuve de Gonario, qui est contraire aux mariages, invitée à déposer les cadeaux au nom d'Anù, invite les nobles, les prêtres et le peuple attendant le réveil de Bithia prêtresse (mère de Iolaus), qui a fait le rite d'incubation, attendant un rêve prévu, pour refuser le mariage au moins jusqu'au réveil de Bithia.
Rumisu, fils du défunt roi Gonario et de Nakigia, vise à éliminer l'oncle Itzocar du commandement, se sentant habilité.
Alors que Nakigia expose son appel à attendre, Bithia se réveille et décrit son rêve de malheur: un Soleil avalé par la Lune (Chant de Bitia).
Immédiatement après surgit sur les lieux Rumisu accusant l'oncle Itzocar d'avoir usurpé le commandement (chanson de Rumisu).
A la fin de la chanson de Rumisu, Damasu entre à la défense de son père Itzocar.
Les deux hommes se battent au corps à corps.
Le gagnant sera Rumisu. Le perdant Damasu abandonne le village.
Rumisu, arrachant le bâton et le manteau à son oncle Itzocar, qui suivra avec sa femme Irìsa le fils vaincu, s'assied sur le trône et invite Aristea à le rejoindre à ses côtés.
Mais Iolaus et Aristea annoncent leur amour. Et tandis que le peuple et les gardes laissent passer les deux amants, malheureusement Rumisu quittera la scène vaincu par sa propre soif de pouvoir.
Le fantôme du roi Gonario apparaît pour souligner les bonnes règles avec la chanson d'Akinta Kamar.
Lorsque Gonario sortira de scène, tout le monde dansera, célébrant la Dernière Lune, avant que le soleil ne prenne le pouvoir pour toujours.
