Jeder wird Designer, wenn er versteht, wie Kommunikation in interaktiven Medien funktioniert.


About the Author:

Dr. Christof Breidenich studierte Visuelle Kommunikation an der Fachhochschule Aachen und Kommunikationsdesign an der Universität Wuppertal. Seit 1992 ist er als selbstständiger Medien- und Kommunikationsdesigner vorwiegend in den Bereichen Kultur, Gastronomie und Kunst tätig. 1997 gründete er das Atelier »Breidenich und Partner - Unternehmenskommunikation im Kunst-Kontext«, mit dem er mehr als 250 Performances und Workshops in zehn Jahren weltweit durchgeführt hat. 1999 promovierte er zum Thema Schnittstellen analoger und digitaler Medien bei Professor Bazon Brock an der Universität Wuppertal. Breidenich war Lehrbeauftragter für Mediengestaltung und Hypermedia an der Erziehungswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Köln und des Fachbereichs Design an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf. Seit 2008 ist er Professor für Mediendesign an der Macromedia Hochschule für Medien und Kommunikation, Campus Köln. Zu den Schwerpunkten seiner Arbeit gehören gestalterische, historische, dramaturgische, kognitive und künstlerische Grundlagen ebenso wie die Gestaltung interaktiver Interfaces unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Systemtheorie, Kybernetik und nicht normativer Ästhetik.
