Gesundheitspsychologie, Psychopathologie, Note: 1,0, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Institut für Psychologie), Veranstaltung: Verhaltensstörungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen (Seminar), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der folgenden Hausarbeit wollen wir der Fragestellung nachgehen, wie LehrerInnen einen positiven Beitrag zur Diagnosefindung vom Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätssyndrom (AD(H)S) und/ oder von Hochbegabung im Schulalltag leisten können und wie es ihnen möglich gemacht werden kann, beide Phänomene besser voneinander differenzieren zu können. Wir erachten es als essentiell, dass angehende LehrerInnen sich der Tatsache bewusst sind, dass ihnen im Schulalltag Kinder begegnen werden, die aufgrund von psychischen Störungen oder aber auch einer sehr hohen Intelligenz einer besonders hohen Aufmerksamkeit bedürfen. Da wir im Seminar "Verhaltensstörungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen" von Tobias Schürmann unter anderem das AD(H)-Syndrom näher kennen lernen durften und uns persönlich die Ähnlichkeiten des Verhaltens mancher hochbegabter Kinder mit dem von AD(H)S Betroffenen interessieren, haben wir beschlossen, uns in dieser Hausarbeit speziell diesen beiden Themen zu widmen. Wie wir in den von uns bereits absolvierten Schulpraktika selbst feststellen mussten, ist es für Lehrpersonen anscheinend ein größeres Problem, als von uns bislang angenommen, AD(H)S oder Hochbegabung richtig zu erkennen. Jede der durch uns besuchten Klassen wies zumindest einen Schüler auf, auf den Symptome des AD(H)S und/ oder der Hochbegabung, welche wir beide im weiteren Verlauf dieser Hausarbeit noch näher erläutern werden, zutrafen. Dennoch konnten uns die betreffenden LehrerInnen selten eine eindeutige Diagnose zu den Schülern nennen und oftmals erschien es uns auch so, dass die Lehrkräfte es nicht als ihre Aufgabe ansahen, sich der Diagnosefindung ungeklärter Fälle anzunehmen.
