Tourismus und Urlaubskultur als volkskundliche Forschungsfelder, 7 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Italien gehört noch heute zu einem der beliebtesten Urlaubsziele deutscher Touristen. Der Grund dafür ist einfach: Italien bietet fast für jeden Urlauber etwas. Wer nur baden will, dem steht eine Kilometer lange Küste zur Verfügung. Wer wandern oder die Natur genießen will, kann dies in einer herrlichen Landschaft tun. Und der Kunst- und Geschichtsbegeisterte kommt in Italien, dem antiken Nabel europäischer Kultur, ebenfalls auf seine Kosten. Das Klima ist mild und praktisch jeder italienische Ort von Deutschland aus in maximal zwei Tagen bequem mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Das ist das 21. Jahrhundert. Aber wie sah es mit der Italienbegeisterung und überhaupt mit der Italienreise im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert aus? Was bewegte die Menschen von damals nach Italien zu gehen und wie ging solch eine Reise von statten? Diese Fragen werde ich in dieser Hausarbeit zu beantworten versuchen. Die Quelle, die ich hauptsächlich dazu benutzt habe, ist Attilio Brillis Buch "Reisen in Italien". Ausführlich und gut verständlich erklärt Brilli darin die Entwicklung der Italienreise vom 16. bis ins 19. Jahrhundert. Neben vielen ausdrucksvollen Zitaten aus Reiseerzählungen, die Brillis Erläuterungen untermauern, ist das Buch mit zahlreichen Bildern damaliger Künstler illustriert, die die Italienreise auch auf der sinnlichen Ebene dem Leser erfahrbar machen sollen. Zudem habe ich die Reisebeschreibungen zweier deutscher Dichter gelesen und miteinander verglichen. Dies ist zum einen Johann Wolfgang von Goethes "Italienische Reise" und zum andern Johann Gottfried Seumes "Spaziergang nach Syrakus im Jahre 1802". Auch wenn Seume erst im frühen 19.
