Uber Leben und Werk von Giovanni Paisiello (1740-1816) ist Einiges bekannt - sein padagogisches OEuvre und seine Unterrichtstatigkeit sind hingegen bislang nur teilweise erforscht. In diesem Band werden fur eine eingehende Untersuchung des padagogischen Werks Paisiellos die bislang bekannten Quellen - die 1782 in St. Petersburg gedruckten Regole und deren sogenannte autographe Handschrift - um einundvierzig neu entdeckte Partimenti, die als zwei- und dreistimmige Disposizioni uberliefert sind, erganzt. Dadurch wird auch der Blickwinkel auf die padagogische und kunstlerische Bestimmung der Partimenti signifikant erweitert. Erstmals wird somit der genrespezifische Kontext beleuchtet, in dem Paisiellos Partimenti zu sehen sind. Im Zentrum stehen verschiedene Ansatze und Vorschlage zu ihrer Ausfuhrung. Diese ergeben sich durch den Vergleich verschiedener Kompositionen Paisiellos mit denjenigen seines Lehrers Francesco Durante sowie anderer Zeitgenossen. Es kann schliesslich gezeigt werden, dass durch den modellhaften Einbezug von grosseren Formen und komplexen Ablaufen das Spektrum von Moglichkeiten bei der Ausfuhrung der Partimenti bedeutend erweitert wird. Um die oft nur skizzenhaft uberlieferte Musik des spaten 18. Jahrhunderts auffuhren zu konnen, muss man die musikalische Sprache der Zeit verstehen lernen. Dank ihrer breit gefacherten Moglichkeiten sind die Partimenti hierfur ein effizientes und phantasiereiches Werkzeug.
About the Author: Die Autorin Nicoleta Paraschivescu, geb. 1975, unterrichtet Orgel an der Musik-Akademie Basel (AMS) und ist Organistin an der Basler Theodorskirche. Sie studierte Orgel und Cembalo an der Musikhochschule Gheorghe Dima in Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg), an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis und an der Staatlichen Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. 2015 promovierte sie an der Universitat Leiden (NL) und wurde 2016 Preistragerin der hibou-Stiftung (CH). Frau Paraschivescu ist Leiterin des Ensembles La Floridiana, mit dem sie fur das Label SONY zwei CDs mit Ersteinspielungen der Haydn-Schulerin Marianna Martines aufgenommen hat. Daruber hinaus ist sie international in Konzerten, Co-Produktionen und Radio-Mitschnitten zu horen.
