About the Author: Helga Lüsebrink, geboren 1938 in Lüdenscheid, einer kleinen Stadt im Sauerland in Nordrhein-Westfalen, lebt und schreibt heute in Berlin. Der Krieg bis 1945 und vor allem die Nachkriegszeit brachten Armut auf allen Ebenen. Soweit als möglich besuchte sie von 1944 bis 1953, mit verschiedenen Jahrgängen in einer Klasse, die Pestalozzi-Schule. Rund 40 Jahre Büro- und Vertriebsarbeit in den unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Metall- und Chemieindustrie folgten, und daneben sowie dazwischen von der Parfümvertreterin über Putzen und Lampenschirmbespannen bis hin zur selbständigen Lebensmittelladenbetreiberin allerlei weitere Dinge. Mehrere Ehen und wichtige Lebensgefährten prägten aber ihr Leben noch mehr als alles Berufliche. Durch sie lernte sie aufregende neue Welten kennen, etwa die Griechenlands, jene des Wohlstands und der Kultur oder die der beruflichen Selbständigkeit. Seit Beginn ihres Ruhestands widmet sie sich dem Schreiben. 2017 veröffentlichte sie ihre Autobiografie Mein Leben - erzählt anhand der Männer, die es prägten.
