"Das Epos vom Leben und Sterben des Falandor, des Erleuchteten, führte mich über gar wohlbekannte Pfade, verschüttet geglaubte Wege, die Stoppelfelder der Kinderzeit, die Straßen der Märchen und Sagen, die oft gelesenen Zeilen der Bibel, der Plätze der Erinnerung, den Strom der Zeit, die Wasserfälle des Glücks und die Schatten manchen fremden und eigenen Leids in das Heltruh aller fühlenden Seelen, welches so mancherlei Namen hat, von Sinai über Stonehenge bis Santorin.

Die wahre Substanz der Dichtung aber liegt in die über die Geschichte hinausgehende Präsenz der sieben Geschwister des Bösen und ihren ungebrochenen Einfluss auf die Menschheit.
