Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Führung und Personal - Sonstiges, Note: 1,7, Hochschule Ansbach - Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Fachhochschule Ansbach, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit soll darauf eingegangen werden, warum das Retention Management eine immer wichtiger werdende Rolle einnimmt und auch in der Praxis Einfluss erlangt. Zudem werden Retention Management Maßnahmen angesprochen und wie das Retention Management im Unternehmen umgesetzt werden kann. Retention Management ist ein ursprünglich aus dem englischen Sprachgebrauch stammender Begriff. Dieser setzt sich aus den beiden Teilen "Retention", was so viel wie "Aufbewahrung, Beibehaltung, Erhaltung" bedeutet und "Management", stehend für "Führung, Leitung, Handhabung" zusammen. Im Personalbereich steht Retention Management also für die Personalbindung seitens des Unternehmens. Hierunter versteht man systematisch positive Anreize die der Gewinnung und Bindung von Mitarbeitern an das Unternehmen dienen. Dabei gibt es materielle Anreize, zu denen finanzielle Leistungen und Sachmittel gehören und immaterielle Leistungen, d.h. tätigkeitsnahe und kontextbezogene Anreize. Mit dem Retention Management werden grundsätzlich alle unbefristeten wie befristeten Mitarbeiter angesprochen. Der Fokus liegt allerdings hauptsächlich auf Mitarbeitern und Mitarbeitergruppen, die für das Unternehmen strategisch wichtig sind und besondere Kriterien erfüllen. Es handelt sich besonders um qualifizierte Mitarbeiter, die Schlüsselpositionen im Unternehmen besetzen. Solche Mitarbeiter sind vor allem Leistungsträger, d.h. die Top-Perfomer, die auch entscheidend für den Unternehmenserfolg sind, sowie junge Talente mit Potenzialen. Ebenfalls zählen hierzu Spezialisten. Dies sind Mitarbeiter, die wichtiges Know-How innehaben und auf dem Arbeitsmarkt nur in begrenzter Zahl vertreten sind.
