In ihrem Kliker nimmt die norwegische Autorin Gerd Brantenberg die Leser*innen mit auf eine Reise in das Land „Egalia“. Formal sind alle Personen dort gleichberechtigt, doch so recht uberzeugt sind Petronius und seine Geschlechtsgenossen davon nicht – erfahren sie doch jeden Tag, d sie als junge Manner tausend Einschrankungen unterliegen, wahrend die Frauen sich anscheinend alles erlauben konnen. Das Buch begleitet Petronius, den Sohn der geachteten Direktorin Bram, durch die Stationen und Hurden, die viele junge Manner Egalias nehmen mussen, wenn sie einmal ein glucklicher und umsorgender Familienvater und Hausmann werden wollen. Doch Petronius und seine Freunde bedruckt der von Ungleichheit gepragte Alltag zunehmend und sie beginnen, sich zu organisieren. Die Auseinandersetzungen machen auch vor ihrem Privatleben nicht Halt und im Spannungsfeld zwischen Liebe, Schmerz und politischem Aktivismus sucht der werdende Mann nach seinem Platz in einer von Frauen dominierten Gesellschaft. Gerd Brantenberg schaffte es, mit ihrer Umkehrung der Geschlechterverhaltnisse Dinge zu verdeutlichen, die offensichtlich sein mussten, aber auch Strukturen offenzulegen, die nicht immer auf den ersten Blick ersichtlich sind. Manche mogen behaupten, d es heute uber Ungleichheit zwischen den Geschlechtern nichts mehr zu regeln gabe, da die rechtliche Gleichstellung erreicht sei und Frauen (bzw. Manner in Egalia) alles werden konnen, was sie wollen. Der Alltag sieht jedoch ganz anders aus und dieses Buch bietet einen guten Anl, auch fur Manner, die sich selbst moglicherweise als fortschrittlich sehen, zu hinterfragen, auf welche Art und Weise im Kapitalismus Geschlechterdiskriminierung immer wieder reproduziert wird. Es wird hoffentlich als Ermutigung fur Manner, Frauen und Menschen jeden Geschlechts wirken, den gemeinsamen Kampf gegen Unterdruckung und ein System, das diese braucht, um die Mehrheit auszubeuten, aufzunehmen.
