About the Book

This is a story about a white guy named Rob who goes to sleep and wakes up in a future where ethnics are the majority. He has to deal with being a second-class citizen, racism, discrimination, police abuse, and more. He makes friends with an African American man named Cameron, who teaches him about the ways the world has changed for the better. Still, he feels he might be better among his own, so Cameron helps him get to the White Zone where the people who didn't want to live in peace live, only to find out it's not the paradise he was hoping for.
About the Author: Desmond Sallah is a thirty-nine-year-old African Canadian living in Toronto. His goal in life is to craft a better future for generations to come. He has endured many trials and tribulations in his lifetime; the police, the justice system, loss of family and friends, but he continues to persevere. Desmond is disabled in his left shoulder and has found it hard finding work. Further in life, he would be falsely charged and lose his home, car, business, friends, respect, and confidence. Ten horrible years later, he has tried many different avenues to gain stable income and find a career. Writing this book is another one he took. Thankfully, writing a book is something he always had a passion for, with the hopes of opening people's eyes, hearts and mind up to how he views the world. Today Desmond is waiting on his last year for his parole to start its process. The police put a charge on Desmond's file he wasn't aware of, and he has to wait an additional three years for it to clear. He tries to stay positive and still tries to be as helpful as he can be in a society that judges him daily. His smile is his rebellion. Desmond wrote this story after having yet another argument with someone on social media who was being racist but denied being racist. Desmond continues to grow as an individual and wishes the same for his readers of his stories.
