About the Book

DISOBEDIENT OMALEDO 3

Omaledo is still disobedient after all her terrible experiences in Alanmuo village. Kokosi village had organized a dance celebration inside the village square to celebrate the safe return of Omaledo and her mother Mama Oma from Alanmuo village.

During the celebration, a beautiful light complexioned young woman in a red dress had given Omaledo a stick of sweet which Omaledo collected despite her mother's instructions not to accept things from strangers. Her mother Mama Oma recognized the beautiful light complexioned young woman as an old witch she saw in Alanmuo village and intervened in time to save Omaledo from being poisoned.

Three weeks later, a masquerade dance was organized by four neighboring villages of Azibata, Obolo, Kokosi and Abante, which was to be held in Kokosi village square. Knowing that lots of strangers from neighboring villages will attend the masquerade dance, Mama Oma instructed her two children Omaledo and Nwugo not to attend the dance as she was going to Obolo village market to sell her fruits. Again Omaledo disobeyed her and went to the village square to watch the masquerade dance. On her way back home, she was kidnapped.

When Mama Oma returned from Obolo fruit market and Nwugo told her that Omaledo went to the village square and had not returned, she raised an alarm. The whole village was thrown into confusion when it was discovered that Omaledo had been kidnapped.

Who kidnapped Omaledo? What did Mama Oma and the villagers do to save Omaledo? Did they succeed in rescuing Omaledo from the hands of the kidnappers before they sold her off as a slave?

Find out in this compelling and intriguing part of the story Disobedient Omaledo 3.

DISOBEDIENT OMALEDO 4
(THE FINAL LESSON)

Omaledo is still in the hands of her kidnappers. Mazi Dikoro and his men had to battle throughout the night to enter Latume village and get to the kidnappers before they reached Abari town where it was likely that they wanted to sell Omaledo off as a slave. They succeeded in rescuing Omaledo and took her back to Kokosi village to her mother.

Still, Omaledo did not change and stop her disobedience. Four weeks later, Omaledo went to a fruit orchard to pluck oranges and mangoes without the consent of the owner. She was caught red handed and given severe beating by the owner of the orchard. Two weeks later, despite her mother's warning, she decided to go to the evil forest to pluck wild fruits. There, she was almost devoured by a lion but was saved by a hunter.

Three months later, Mama Oma woke up with a premonition that something bad was about to happen, but she did not know what it was. Before going to the village market to sell her goods, she told Omaledo and Nwugo not to go out to play or fetch firewood. She specifically told them not to go to river Osi no matter the reason.

Omaledo disobeyed her mother and went to river Osi to take her bath. There, she dared the goddess of the river and was almost consumed. What happened at river Osi? How did Omaledo dare the river goddess? What did the river goddess do to Omaledo? Did Omaledo come out of the river alive? Has Omaledo finally learnt her lesson not to disobey her mother's instructions again? What impact did Omaledo's disobedience have on her future and what did she finally become?

Find out in the concluding part of the story Disobedient Omaledo 4.
