Dorothee, Mitte vierzig, lebt in Berlin ihren ganz "normalen" Alltag. Als im Frühjahr das Corona-Virus die Hauptstadt erreicht und sie wegen einer schweren Depression ins Krankenhaus muss, beginnt für sie ein schmerzvoller und langwieriger Heilungsprozess. Auf der Suche nach sich selbst hinterfragt sie ihre Vergangenheit, ihre aus dieser Zeit resultierende Angst, ihre Liebe zur Malerei und zur Musik und versucht andererseits, trotzt des virusbedingten Besuchsverbots, sich dem Alltag wieder zu nähern. Es ist die außergewöhnlich zarte Geschichte einer Frau, die Menschen mit ähnlichen Schicksalen Mut machen will, sich ihrer Vergangenheit zu stellen und eine Tür in ein angstfreies und von Liebe erfülltes Leben zu öffnen. Gelingt es Dorothee, aus der Krise herauszukommen, um das Glück wieder umarmen zu können?
About the Author: Matthias Hartje (Buchautor, Maler und Autodidakt) wurde im August 1960 in Berlin als Einzelkind geboren. Nach Beendigung seiner Schulausbildung absolvierte er eine erfolgreiche Lehre als Filmkopierer und später als Druckformhersteller. Von 2001 bis 2009 arbeitete er als Wohngruppenfachkraft für Demenz in der Altenpflege. Er ist verheiratet und hat zwei erwachsene Kinder. Sein Interesse galt schon frühzeitig dem Malen. So entstanden bis heute weit mehr als 1400 Bilder in Aquarell. Große Teile seiner Bilder hat er auf Vernissagen gezeigt und in einem 2019 unter dem Titel "Das Hellersdorfer Aquarell" erschienenen Katalog veröffentlicht. Im Verlauf der Jahre entdeckte der Autodidakt Matthias Hartje eine zweite Leidenschaft, das Schreiben. Zunächst waren es Gedichte und Erzählungen, die er 2012 veröffentlichte. Später begann er seinen Zwiespalt bei der Bewältigung des Lebens sowie seine Ansichten und Erfahrungen mit demenzkranken Menschen in Romanen zu beschreiben und mit seinen Aquarellbildern zu ergänzen. So veröffentlichte er Bücher wie zum Beispiel: "Demenz-Kinder", "Land der Kinder", "Der schwarze Junge" oder "Das Ekelkind", "Das Gespür der Zeit" und "Die Frau in Ton" oder "Luise - Fremde Welt" und den Gedichtband "Der Meeresspiegel und die Zeit". Nach dem Erfolg seiner Bücher sowie zahlreichen Lesungen zu den darin aufgeführten Themen: Das innere Kind, Religion, Liebe, Angst, Demenz, das Ego im Menschen, Sterben und Leben schrieb der Autor auch eine Trilogie über den Berliner Stadtteil "Hellersdorf".
