About the Book

Life on earth is about to be wiped from existence, as the Divine forces have grown frustrated by humanity as a species. Humankind's last chance to avoid global annihilation lies within one young man who has been hand chosen by the Devil to unify and inspire the modern world into a spiritual oneness. Benjamin Thomas discovers his destiny is to come up with a plan to save humanity from its own ignorance and prevent the purging of earth. With the help of Mother Nature and an unlikely ally, he tries to convince an entire planet it is almost too late. He will soon discover the true dynamics of existence, the universe, and humanity's role within it. After accidentally killing a classmate in a bus stop fight, Ben's life is cast into turmoil. The only guiding light in his world is his best friend Henry. Henry had been there from the beginning and his dark secret will expose Ben to the true structure of the universe. It was not always this way. Before He realized who He was, He embraced life, enjoyed the little things it had to offer and lived as it was meant to be, day by day. Yearning for times past He reflects on who He once was. His name is Benjamin Thomas and he has done a lot of living...and dying. Everything Benjamin Thomas had experienced, the countless interesting people with whom he had interacted, and the glorious sights he had gazed upon, were all unwitting factors in helping to mold him into the individual he eventually became. The sheer number of experiences throughout his existence were far too many to tally, so many in fact it had caused him to lose sight of the essence of whom he even was. Life in general has a way of leading a person away from the path he is supposedly destined to follow. Never had Ben been a believer in destiny. He had made the decision early on in life that he was to be the sole decision maker in everything that was going to happen to him. Never could he have imagined his decisions would someday affect the universe in a way that was so infinitely profound. Everything in existence was at his control, to command, to toy with and even...to destroy. This ultimate power was bequeathed to the most humble of individuals. This unsuspecting boy was given exclusive entitlement over all creation, including all that ever was and all that would ever be. All-powerful with no authority, He is God in this place. Alone, He stands amongst the ash and charred earth, the stink of sulfur burning His nose. Lying in waste, His world is ravaged. All that had been created has succumbed to the shortsightedness of a fool. A long deflated sigh flows from His lips as He scans the horizon. It is a world that once flourished with an abundance of life. A myriad of species had once existed here, from simplistic one-celled organisms to impressive technologically advanced civilizations. All were his children and all were his responsibility. But now, the beauty is forever gone, all reduced to a state of desolation, obliterated by the beings He had loved so much. He weeps openly with his hands spread and outstretched toward the scorched sky, as if there were a higher power that would save Him, but at the same time knowing there was no higher power than He. His failure is complete and definite. It is too late to fix the devastation, too late to save the lives of the trillions of life forms who once resided here, and now it was too late to save even Himself. Countless times He had wished to be cast into the precious nonexistence of oblivion and to join all those he had once considered beneath Him. Regardless of what He was able to create or destroy, the only thing He apparently never had control of was His own fate. Doomed to forever wander baron landscapes, He had now proven to Himself He had always been destined to destroy the universe. This tragedy was once a masterpiece, something He had loved, nourished but inevitably killed. An amber sky now looms over all that remains.
