This collection of short stories offers children the chance to learn about the natural world and become inspired to solve the problems they encounter in their own lives.
Written by engineer and mother Faye Kapoor, Dream Sparks introduces four engaging characters, each of whom has a conflict children can relate to. Whether it is loneliness, sibling rivalry, or the excitement of gaining responsibility, the stories touch on familiar themes and introduce children to interesting natural phenomena in a way that will pique their curiosity-and encourage them to dig deeper for themselves.
Three of the stories, "Hans the Hawk," "How the Spider Spun Up a Friend," and "Smell Well," feature compelling animal characters who draw young readers into vivid natural settings that spark the imagination. The fourth story, "The Gift," is about a little girl named Sophie who is very particular about her toys.
With endearing illustrations that were created by the author's own children, who also inspired the stories themselves, Dream Sparks is lighthearted and uplifting-perfect for bedtime reading, or any time you're looking for a fun little pick-me-up during the day.
