About the Book

A book of lyrics and poetry by a singer-songwriter from North Country, New England on the Connecticut River. Musings by the author span over twenty years of experiences. So come, 'take a ride on the rails, the time has come to set sail over the choppy waters within!' www.crazysunmusic.com
About the Author: 1. Can you tell us a little about yourself? I am from originally from Salem, Massachusetts. I have attended college at the University of Rochester, NY. I have been a Petty Officer in the United States Navy (USS Roosevelt CVN-71). I have a daughter attending Groveton High School. I have lived in Maidstone, Vermont since 2006. I am a full-time/self-employed working musician (solo, band) since May, 2000 around southern NH and most of New England playing covers and originals. I still play bars, clubs, private parties, and weddings. 2. When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first piece of music? I have always written songs in my head since I was five years old, but officially, I'd say 1988 "I Got The Blues". 3. How did you come to write songs? It is natural as breathing I suppose. I've always loved songs and how they make me feel, and I attempt to simulate that by my own means. 4. Do you ever experience writer's block, how do you cope with it.? I feel like I'm always in writer's block and everything I write is a miracle and a gift. One of my fellow writer's once told me there is no such thing as writer's block, just write. I try to hold on to that attitude for dear life. 5. Is there any particular songwriter or musician that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult? Growing up was mainly The Beatles, Bob Seger, Peter Frampton, Steely Dan and The Rolling Stones. As an adult, I must mention Martin Sexton, Peter Mulvey, Flathead (Ned Landin), Michael Penn, Neil Finn (Crowded House), Josh Clayton-Felt (School Of Fsh), Willy Porter, Sean Mullins, Keb Mo, Shawn Colvin, Jonatha Brookes, I truly could fill up this whole page with this question... 6. What projects are you working on now? Tulip On Big Water (11 songs written 2012-'14) 7. Will you have a new work coming out soon? Out On An Island - INCOMPLET III (11 songs written 1997-'99)
