Sein unbändiger Hass auf diese Kinder hatte ihn zu einem unbesiegbaren Boxer werden lassen. Als sein Vater von Feinden der Natur brutal getötet wurde, entschloss er sich sein Leben lang als Freund der Natur gegen sie zu kämpfen. Er fährt nach Deutschland, um zu studieren. In Kreuzberg befreundet er sich mit seinem alten Nachbarn, Peter, der ein Boxer war. Durch seine Hilfe stieg er in Berlin in den Boxring. Aber seine Erfolge machen ihn nicht glücklich, er entscheidet sich in die DDR zu gehen und verliebt sich dort in die Ostberlinerin Angela. Um sie nach Westberlin zu schmuggeln, macht er einen gefährlichen Versuch, obwohl sie hoch¬schwanger ist. Er wird am Checkpoint Charlie angeschossen, aber ihr gelingt es in den Westen zu fliehen. Er wird zu lebenslanger Haft verurteilt. Am 9. November 1989 fiel die Mauer. Der Ökosozialist Erol erzählt, wie seine hoffnungslose Liebe weiter geht und was mit seinem Sohn in Westberlin geschehen ist. Er träumt immer noch von einem System, das sich nach dem Gleichgewicht der Natur richtet und die anderen Lebewesen achtet.
About the Author: Der Autor Akin Tekin wurde 1944 in Gürün, in der Türkei, geboren. Er studierte Soziologie und Literaturwissenschaft. Sein größtes Interesse gilt der Ökologie. Er arbeitete mehrere Jahre in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland als Soziologe im Auftrage des Ministeriums für Arbeit, half den türkischen Gastarbeitern, Häftlingen und deren Kindern in allen juristischen und sozialen Fragen. Er schrieb dort "Duell am Checkpoint Charlie-Die Tränen des blauen Planeten" 'Der Herrenlose Planet'. Er ist deutscher Staatsangehöriger, Anhänger von Greenpeace. Er ist der erste Umweltromanauthor der Türkei. In seinen Werken findet man soziologisch-ökologische Kritiken und groteske Naturbeschreibungen, aber auch Berichte über natürliche und gemütliche Lebensformen der alten Türkei und in der DDR, die heute nicht mehr existieren.
